Ola Åstrand

Ola Åstrand was educated at Valand and currently lives in Gothenburg. He works with screen prints and collage-like drawings where images are broken into pieces, multiplied and fragmented. He uses symbols and phenomena from popular culture. He has also worked with airbrush and sculptures where entire rooms are turned into installations in harmony with his drawings. Åstrand has had exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm, Göteborgs Konsthall, Dinkers kulturhus in Helsingborg and Rhodes + Mann in London and his works can be found at, among others, The National Public Art Council in Sweden and at Gothenburg Museum of Art.
